Tuesday July 13th. Explore Cleveland Bike Ride – Meet at the River Gate Park, located at 1818 Merwin Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44113 at 10:00 am. Enjoy a 35 to 45 mile ride discovering Cleveland at a mid-moderate pace. The ride will be a combination of bike trail, road and city street riding with an emphasis exploring the new Redline trail and the Whisky Island connector trail and the new Whisky Island bridge. lunch stop after the ride at Sainato’s at Rivergate or one of the other numerus restaurants in the flats. Join in the fun at Lake Tomahawk, Negley, OH. Starting at 1:00, we will be set up in the Sportsman Club building at the beach area. Park down driveway on right side on building. Parking on grass is OK. The club will provide Pulled Pork, Sausage w/peppers and onions, chicken nuggets, and water. Bring your favorite dish to add to the buffet. Bring your lawn chair and your own drinks (alcohol is permitted). Activities include a cornhole tournament and horseshoes. Directions: Rt 7 south to Rogers, continue past the Save A Lot. Bear left at the Y in the road. Make a left turn onto Carmel Achor. Turn right into Lake Tomahawk and at the second stop sign, turn left following the signs to the beach. Pre-picnic ride of approximately 20-25 miles is being planned. Call Mary Merritt if you have any questions at 330-383-5993. For GPS directions the address of the Lake office is 8853 Pontiac Trail, Negley, Oh 44441. The office is at the first stop sign, at 2nd stop sign follow the signs to the beach. Note: Some GPS directions say right on Union Ridge. DO NOT go that far. Turn in at the Lake entrance. PLEASE MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS BY JULY 10TH.

We will stop at some historical sites (including one on a road in rough condition) in Poland Township and will stop at the 225th Anniversary celebration in Poland Township Park. There will be an opportunity for anyone who wants to ride another, more challenging terrain loop after we return to the high school after the initial 25+ mile loop.
